Walter T. Taylor has been with Engineering for the Earth, Inc. from the beginning in 2007.
He serves as the Vice President of Development and his ideas help guide the direction of the Organization.
Mr.Taylor strives to use his experience building social networks to
give back to the community that shaped him into the person he is today.
Mr. Taylor dedicates his life to creating and sustaining healthy and
vibrant communities.

Besides Mr. Taylor's role with Engineering for the Earth, his activities include:
- VP of Community Impact for the Cape Fear Area United Way
- Active Board Member of the Emergency Food and Shelter Program in New Hanover County.
- Active Chairman of the Board for Wilmington Residential Adolescent Achievement Place.
- Active member of the Southeastern NC Food System Council
Tommy Taylor put himself through Guilford College from 1993-1997,
earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with minor concentrations
in Religion and Philosophy.
Tommy
Taylor went on to be a counselor at Massanutten Military Academy. After
bringing the acceptance rate into 4 year colleges from 60% to 96%
he moved back to North Carolina and started dedicating himself to
non-profits.
Mr.
Taylor began working for the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North
Carolina in November of 2002, where he worked for 6 years earning the
title of Regional Development Manager. Mr. Taylor was recognized as the
Employee of the Year in 2007.
